I really like Central State. No it is not a perfect school and yes we are in rural Ohio, but most of what people complain about happens at every university. I cannot speak for every department, but the history department is very good and the teachers are so helpful. Yes, some people do still act like they are in high school but they'll get it together eventually. Anyway, come to Central State. Don't believe the rumors.

Don't come here. This university is a waste of time. I am a out-of-state student and I could be paying the same amount of money to go to a few private institutions.

When I went to New Student Orientation, my adviser put me in remedial English, come to find out that he was too lazy to give me an override into English 1100, so I wasted money and time taking a course that I not only did not need but was not non-transferable. When I went to get my courses for fall semester, the adviser acted like he had no clue what he was doing. I could have went to myCSU and picked out the courses I wanted myself (oh wait, that's what my adviser told me to do after I made an appointment to see him).

When I got to the university on move-in day, to my dismay the bathroom in my suite had mold in it. My suitemates and well as my RAs reported this to maintenance several times, yet it took over a week for them to fix the issue.

The majority of the students here are not friendly, all they do is get high, drink and fight. If you are here for an education and have some morals about you, expect to get mean-mugged all day and if you are disabled they might just attack you.

On top of everything the social life sucks. Don't come to this school unless you have a car. The town of Wilberforce only offers a Speedway and the school only offers parties and sports events with the occasional talent show or fashion show. You have to drive 10-20 mins away to get a bite to eat with your friends or go grocery shopping. If you actually want to go to the city to catch a movie or to see some scenery other than cornfields, expect a 30-40 mins drive to Beavercreek or Dayton. The only thing I don't regret about coming here is meeting my wonderful boyfriend.
