John Carroll provided me with a great education. I agree that the school may not be for everyone. While it may be more academically focussed that other schools, I also had a lot of fun in my 4 years at JCU. It's not a school for serious partiers -- they won't make it through.

The campus is pretty and well maintained. Food is ok.I really loved my 4 years at JCU!

I read all these negative comments about JCU on this website and really think they're bogus! I believe that though it might be tougher to get into a public graduate school after coming from JCU consider the size! John Carroll only has about 3 thousand undergrads so obviously there is less competition than there would be at Ohio State! And if you needed to get a 3.5 so badly in order to get into a certain grad. school you really wanted to go to...then why didn't you work harder to get over a 3.2? Come on now, that shows that JCU has decently difficult academics if you aren't even able to get a 3.5 if that was your goal. JCU is a great place for students to not only grow in academics but to grow as a person. Though I'm only in my sophomore year here, I see the faculty at JCU as genuinely caring people who love to see their students succeed inside and outside of the classroom. John Carroll is a beautiful little (yes, it is pretty small) campus. Students are so friendly, which is one of the main reasons I chose to go to JCU. Every time I went to visit, every student I talked to was super friendly and very engaging in conversation about John Carroll and why it was such a fun and great environment to attend college in. Complain about the dirty dishes and bad food in the cafeteria all you want, but if all daddy's little princesses go to JCU then don't you think that they would have left due to those little problems? I don't understand where the comment about the snobbery at John Carroll came from, very uncalled for and not true. John Carroll has very down-to-earth and normal students who chose to attend. In my opinion, JCU is the best kept secret around as far as universities go. Not many people have heard of it, but if you have, you usually know that it's a great place :)

Not so bright
Holy crap do not go here unless you were a spoiled little princess in high school or if you have never had an original thought that was not provided by a football coach or your parents- please for your own sake, go somewhere else. unless your daddy bought you a fucking mercedes and you wear ed hardy, abercrombie, american eagle you will find it hard to keep your sanity here.
