Don't go here if you plan to get into competitive graduate school bc you have to work 3x as hard as a state university which will get you the same place without the strict grading. Trust me I had to do a post-bacc at another school to raise my gpa. I had a 4.0 in high school. I came to JCU and got a 3.2 in which i needed a 3.5 for grad school. So I did post-bacc at another state school and got a 3.8 with half the amount of work I put in at JCU, while I have to watch the people at the state school have no need to do extra work to improve their gpa to get into grad school bc it is a breeze and the grad schools ultimately do not know or have a valid grading scale based on each particular school.

I think that JCU is a great place to start a future no matter where you plan to live in the future. The faculty is great, and so are most of the students. For those who say that this is a place which is similar to high school, I am sorry you could not fit in. Perhaps you are better suited for place with 30,000 kids. JCU is a wonderful place which would allow any student to grow into a well-developed individual.

It is just like high school - Small and everyone knows everyone. There is absolutely nothing to do during the week or the weekend for that matter. Instructors are very dull and do not make anything interesting.
