A college degree is necessary to get the job you want these days and employers look for this first. I was an advertising major but I switched careers and opted to try broadcast/film production after working in the ad agency world for almost 3 years.Even though this was not my major, I know my college degree helped me to get me where I am today. I love the school, the students and most of all my program. Journalism at Kent State is everything I expected it to be and much better than I hoped. I have been given more chances and opportunities at Kent than I really thought I could be. By getting involved in on-campus organizations I believe I've made an impact. I can't speak for all programs, but if you're looking into journalism you should definitely look at Kent. We consistantly win national and regional awards for our student media, and the faculty here are all approachable and willing to go out of their way to help you. My experience at Kent has been great. I literally could have gone anywhere, but I chose Kent. And I have never regretted it. Education Quality: A+, University Resource Use: C+ Have a Question?
