Can't read, Can't write, Kent State still applies. As well as can't teach. I transferred to Kent my junior year. I had to retake several entry level classes so I know first hand it's a second rate university. Faculty is clueless that the uneducated student body does nothing but read wikipedia for all of their answers. Instructors baby so many students. One class gave 150 points extra credit out of a 900 point course. This was of course after she dropped the lowest test score of one of your 4 tests. Classes are a joke even major intensive courses. If you can stand to be around all of the stuck up fashion major morons the campus is an ok place to hang out. Intramurals were a great way to meet people. If you're looking for a great education and a University that looks forward to your successes go else where. To Kent you're only a number unless you're dumb or lazy then you are pimple on their ass of over inflated student GPA's. But they will gladly take your money please don't give it willingly.

Not so bright
Its basically a business. They have the second highest rate of dropouts in the state. The classes are huge, its very much all about the money. The dorms haven been renovated sense the 1980's. It would cost money to paint the walls. No one cares if you pass or fail because there is such a large body of people trying to get in. Its funny to see students touring the campus they show them the student center, in no way does the student center represent the actual college. The student center is actually decent. Some else said something about the presidents salary. He makes $870,000 a year. He fires professors to increases profit(what you pay) and gives himself raises.

Bright
International students attending the college of nursing are completely marginalized. Nursing faculty at this school consider foreign students a burdon - not a source of new information in a global world. Several foreign students have had real problems with nursing faculty treating them badly. So if you are a foreign student, avoid this school of nursing.
