Super Brilliant
I agree that Kent State a great Chemistry and science program, for the most part the professors are helpful and nice. There were only 2 professors that got terrible ratings from the class; one is no longer there because he was so bad at teaching. The other professor is very arrogant, self absorbed, and very condescending. My overall experience at Kent State is a nightmare; it was the biggest mistake and causes me a lot of grief! I was a 4.0 student and the motto I have for Kent State is: "If you?re a 4.0 student or a 2.0 student, you?re treated the same", while at Kent, I was 4.0 and was not informed about any scholarships! Dealing with the administration at Kent State was like pulling teeth; the people were rude and disorganized. I would wait on the phone for 2 hours with financial aid, only to have them tell me they couldn't answer my question, then send me to the bursar's office, only for them to send me right back to financial aid all over again! They took the upperclassman/graduate student dorm away and turned it into a freshman only dorm! So everyone living there was forced to find a new single dorm. The Teaching assistants for the most part couldn't speak English very clearly, so it was difficult to learn. when I was a student at Kent State, I felt like just a number, not very important, an animal who was tagged and waiting to be slaughtered! At Kent State, the students are just a number and can be replaced...next!!So if assembly-line and mass-produced education is what you?re looking for in a college, then Kent State is the school for you, let?s hope they get your graduation certificate correct, because they screwed my friend's up!

Quite Bright
The experience you have at Kent State will vary depending upon your major and your background. Kent State, overall, is a dismal school. Don't sell yourself short and go to Kent State without ever looking at other colleges - many are way better. Overall, it's a glorified community college.
