 | Quite Bright | Professors are great! Very knowledgeable and interesting, with reasonable expectations! The social scene is very clique-oriented, however. If you don't portray yourself a party animal, artsy kid, athlete, nerd, or prep you're going to have trouble finding friends. As famously liberal as KSU is, more people are unyieldingly conservative (and argumentative about it) than you might think. Male masculinity (e.g. aggressiveness, intentionally attempted portrayal of a higher social status) is played up really big by the college kids here. Most of the girls are snooty. A minority of students (especially in the lower class standings) actually care about education, going to class, or getting good grades. Bar scene is fairly decent; fun, if you're old enough. | Useful Schoolwork: A+, Social Life: C | | | |

| | Super Brilliant | If I had to do it over again, I definitely would. I had the opportunity of having several wonderful mentors, who were a huge help when I applied to psychology doctoral programs (I got admitted to Miami of Ohio and Ohio U). I started out at the regional campus, and got to know someone really well who then helped me contact other faculty at the Kent Campus. I must admit, however, that this is not necessarily a typical experience. In general, the faculty in my department are very helpful and supportive, but you have to seek them out. However, I do not know of anywhere where a professor will just come up to you and say "how would you like to work on my project and write a journal article with me." You have to take the initiative. | Education Quality: A+, Individual Value: C | | | |

| | Average | I love Kent. Everybody is so nice, everythime you turn around someone wants to be your friend. I havent found one person that wasnt willing to help me out at one point or another. It's also a really pretty school! And the rec center is huge! It has everything you could ever imagine in it. And the class arent that big so it's really nice if you need help. The dorm rooms are a nice size too. It's pretty safe but like any campus there are things that happen. You never need to walk alone you can get a guard to walk you where ever you want to go. It's a huge campus but you can make it anyplace in 10-15 mins. Well thats all i have to say You should really check it out! | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: D+ | | | |
