I've been going to Muskingum for 3 and 1/2 years and after my first year I have been greatly disappointed there after. There hasn't been money put into the student housing since my mother went there and graduated in 86. Muskingum is extremely money hungry and will work against you to keep you here longer than you need to be for example I was signed into multiple classes the first semester I came here that did NOT count towards an LAE or my intended major which ultimately makes it hard to fit in the rest of your needed classes and be finished in four years. I joined a sorority my freshman year and it was one of the several Greek life organizations that has been kicked off campus in the past 4 years. Muskingum wants to get rid of Greek life and will act on any petty incidence that they can. The social life has gone down hill and that plays a huge role in the college experience. Their own staff members will tell you that Muskingum is all about the money. They are not sincere about the card of their students but will smile in your face and say they are. As a soon to be graduate and worker of the university my advice is to not go to this school. I am deeply disappointed with my overall experience. Just go look up the statistics of the percentage of how many students come to muskingum and actually graduate from here without transferring, that should be an indicator that this school might not be the best choice. I would never advise anyone to attend this school. Good luck in your choosing and I hope you don't get caught up in this hell hole.

Not so bright
This school is a great choice for those looking to get involved on campus while attending the University.

I joined the Chi Alpha Nu (XAN)SORORITY! or kianu club as it is known on campus and it was the best thing I have ever done. I was able to get involved in an amazing group of people who were fun and outgoing while I was at school here!

great campus, great school. faculty are friendly... i've only had one professor that i had any problems with... but it was his last semester of teaching there so i think he got a little lazy. coursework is extremely challenging. be prepared for that. new concord is a dry town, but there are bars and clubs within 15 minutes of campus. i'm a commuter student, even if you plan to live on campus, a car is advisable. a lot going on campus at night.
