Everyone knows the type of reputation Miami studentsQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
Everyone knows the type of reputation Miami students have: preppy, rich and stuck up. I came here expecting to meet a bunch of wealthy assholes who were here to do nothing but drink their four years away. However, I was proven wrong and met a lot of great, fun people. It is really easy to get involved and the more involved you get, the smaller the campus seems. Everywhere you go, you see someone you know. Greek life is huge and I recommend it. I was never a "sorority girl", but there TRULY IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE. I joined one and I love it. Don't let Miami's reputation ruin your chance at a great school. No one really understands how great it is until they come here.

Question
I absolutely love Miami University and really believeAverage
I absolutely love Miami University and really believe that it has something to offer everyone. I know that every school has a stereotype and I came here expecting to find that and I was pleasantly surprised that it was very different than I had imagined. The campus is more diverse then it may seem and everyone is so fun and friendly, I really felt that Miami became my home when I joined a sorority because it made the campus seem a lot smaller for me but if greek life is not something you are interested there are plenty of other on-campus groups and activities to be involved with. It seems like everyone is involved in something and you are constantly running into people you know or have met through someone else even on a campus with 15,000 students. The campus itself is beautiful and clean and although it's in Oxford, there is never a shortage of things to do on and off of campus, for the most part I would say students love to stay on campus and hang out uptown where all the shopping, bars, and restaurants are located...plus the bars are 18 and up so you don't feel left out as an underage student! I would recommend Miami to anyone, it is the perfect place for an undergrad education.

Question
I absolutely did not want to attend MiamiNot so brightEducation
I absolutely did not want to attend Miami University because of the perception it is given of being a school for rich snobs. I ended up going there and the first year was rough but once you find a good group of friends it is really an amazing school. The academics are great, there are NORMAL people who go to school here, and it is a gorgeous campus. Don't let the preppy snobs scare you away!
