| | Bright | After transferring from a commuter college closer to home, I loved my years at OU. They gave me confidence, social skills, subject knowledge, love of learning, love of nature, and spiritual guidance. These traits have seen me through graduate school and several career advancements. My advice is you get one chance to go to college. Take the opportunity, take the time to figure out what you want, be led by your strengths and your passions, work on those traits you know you need to improve, and don't take yourself too seriously. Make every day count for something or someone. | Starting Job: Medical Lab Researcher, Preparedness: B+, Reputation: B+ | | |

| | Bright | | Ohio University is a beautiful campus by far I must say. I love the different buildings and how the campus is set up. If you even visit you fall in love with that aspect side of the school. When it comes down to it Ohio University just isn't the place for me. People here want to go out every night. I mean it's one thing to go out and have a few drinks but to only drink to get hammered really doesn't sound like fun to me. The people up here are very approachable, but when it comes down to having many friends it just isn't there. Unless you only want to drink four years away I would look into a different university. The campus extracurriculars are fantastic. There is something for everyone and things you can't even think of until you see what they have to offer. The outdoors life here is very neat to get into if your that kind of person. I have to say I am more of a city girl being from Cincinnati, Ohio. There is nothing to get out and do on weekends here. Malls, movies, and other normal things people like to get out and do is just not here. People here on weekends sleep until about 3 p.m. then get up and get ready and start partying all over again. The teachers I have had here so far are on different paths for success. My health teacher is by far the best teacher I have asked for .Then you get over to my psychology teacher and you well should learn how to teach yourself because he won't do it. The teachers cancel most classes and the classes on Friday well since no one shows up they cancel those first off. Sounds nice until you realize you're paying twenty thousand dollars a year for a school who cancels more class then you attend. What are you really paying for here...the future this school wants to provide students. My advice great school to visit but terrible place to actually be a student here. I will be transferring to a school that can party and learn all in one setting....like that is so much to ask for? | Campus Aesthetics: A+, Education Quality: F | | | |
