If you plan to major in Anthropology, do yourself a favor and do not attend UC. The department is tiny, the professor heading the department is senile, arrogant and racist and you will not be out with your degree in a timely manner due to the small faculty/lack of courses offered year round

Super Brilliant
University of Cincinnati is an excuse of a school. It is terrible. No responsiveness to student concerns. Utterly indifferent faculty and administration. Facilities are horrible. It is so easy to cheat and slip through the cracks. The school has NO standards whatsoever. Very poor faculty who don't care at all about teaching students. My third year there - me and most of my classmates basically cheated our way through - the professors were too lazy to create new exams and they used the exact ones from years past and also allowed open book open notes!!! This is ridiculous! The school has no school spirit - two people in my class at graduation were surprised to know we even had an alma mater!!! That's crazy. The school itself is practically unheard of outside of the state of Ohio. My advice to prospective students - AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE! Attend Ohio State or Miami or Case Western instead where you'll actually be challenged and will have a good experience!

I would not recommend this place. I will probably go here another year but i don't see much after that. some advice before you come here: write your will before you leave home, and bring a gun with you. crime here is UNBELIEVABLE. two of my friends got mugged one night righ in front of our dorm building. people constantly get carjacked, beat up, robbed, etc....often right in broad day light. its pretty pathetic actually. UC probably employs more construction workers then professors....it NEVER ends, they are NEVER done. one project is almost done, they plan some more projects. if it inconviniences students.......oh well, they're just students. the state of Ohio says you can only raise tuition 10% a year...so they made the "responsible" choice of raising it 9.9%!!!
