Positive Negative Neutral Advice
Overall, I enjoyed my time at Wright State,BrightGeography and Geosciences
Overall, I enjoyed my time at Wright State, but there were a few negatives. The positives about WSU is the campus is big, but not huge like OSU. The tunnels are also great, especially in the winter. I lived in an apartment on campus (the Village), which was comfortable. In terms of living on campus, there was nobody there to help when you moved in to the apartments, only the dorms. Therefore, bring people with you to help move you in. The area was relatively safe, but cops were called several times. The advisers are absolutely terrible! You walk in, and they pull up your DARS, and tell you to complete the classes you need. Keep in mind, you can do this yourself. If you ask specific questions like " when will this class be offered" , they tell you to wait until it shows up on the schedule. My main complaint about WSU is the financial aid department. I received financial aid, as well as scholarships and grants. After my first year, I tried to schedule classes, but was alerted to no funding was available. I learned from financial aid that even though I had the paperwork in three weeks before the deadline, they were not processed until after the deadline, losing a majority of my aid. When I asked for solutions, the staff member shrugged her shoulders, and said pay for school yourself, or get a private loan. I was forced to attend a different college, moved out of my apartment, and lost a year of credits. This has placed me behind, and am risk of approaching the financial aid cap. I would urge new students to have a solid academic plan and not to depend on advisers, and fill out financial aid paperwork well in advance.

Question
Like every other college you will have someAveragePsychology
Like every other college you will have some truly crappy professors who don't care at all and then those that are passionate. There are a large variety of groups to get involved with which will make your time here more interesting. Parking SUCKS, even after sinking $50-$150 in a permit (depending on the type you buy) you still have to arrive HOURS early to even find a damn space or stalk those leaving to their cars in hopes they are leaving and no one else whips (literally, someone nearly hit my car in order to get the space first) into the space before you. There is ample staff spots that remain open...you take one and get $50 fine if caught. Wright State overall has been okay but many of the classes I take for my BA in psychology are SUPER repetitive and I feel like I haven't truly learned too much to prepare me for any form of Grad school. I am getting thousands of dollars in loans for what feels like simply stress and annoyance. Many "required" courses seem unnecessary as they wildly unrelated to my major. I've enjoyed the personal expire cues I have had at WSU but not so much my academic (which is the main point).

Question
The classes take workQuite BrightEngineering Department
The classes take work if you want to do well, but if you need help the professors are easy to talk to and willing to help. It is easy to get involved if you want to be involved, but you may have to take the initiative by attending the organizational fairs and the fraternity/sorority open houses.
