If you value your happiness, do NOT goQuite BrightMusic - Performance
If you value your happiness, do NOT go to school here. While there are a very few good teachers, the rest of them will have you contemplating quitting school altogether. Corporate only caters to FUTURE students, and then neglects the ones they currently have. They put out fresh food for days that prospective students are touring. But you will never see that once you've enrolled. Another example is, if you eat IN the cafeteria, you may choose from ONE meal in the 5 restaurants. They will not allow you to get a side from more than one. And if you want your food to go, you will receive a frozen sandwich. That's it. There are limited places for students to park, with HUGE fees if you park in a spot meant for visitors. The music department is especially bad. The teachers continuously tell you that you will never make it as a performer and that you should switch to education. One student was harassed and bullied because he wanted to switch out of music altogether. There are LOTS of horror stories. One singer tried to go to graduate school in NY but was told that her teachers had ruined her voice. The required chapel is one big joke where they pretend to be religious but then talk about their sports team while the disinterested students look at their phones and whisper loudly. Oh, and if you don't get ALL your required chapels, you don't graduate.

Too expensive for the average instructions they offer.Quite Bright
Too expensive for the average instructions they offer. Nothing really special about OBU to warrant the cost. Will not accommodate for students with Disabilities and are prejudice towards non-traditional students. They are more interested in their egos, reputation and money than the students needs. Very authoritarian and controlling. Are very dishonest and manipulative, which is amazing considering they call themselves Christians, which they rely on that title to charge outrageously for tuition and classes. They find ways to extract more money out of the students by date fudging and adding extra classes that are unnecessary. If you are a critical and independent thinker this is not the University for you. Their professors are more important than the students are to them. They have only a few professors that are really good. They make you take classes that will have nothing to contribute to your employment. Caucasians are predominate and minorities are treated like second class citizens. Interesting historical tidbit on OBU: They employed a Nazi war criminal, Admiral Wilhelm Franz Canaris, Head of the Nazi Abwehr (Wehrmacht Intelligence). Contracted by OBU under the name of Samuel Randall Pittman in the late 40's. Hmmm, I wonder where they get their authoritarian attitude from?

OBU nursing school is simply a joke withQuite BrightNursing
OBU nursing school is simply a joke with professors that are closed-minded, arrogant, unhelpful, discriminatory and hateful. They pose as agents of God since it is a christian school but the OBU governing body really needs to find out what is going on in the school of nursing. The professors are caught up in their own way of teaching and that is mainly why their nclex rate has dropped. If I were to do it again, I will not go to OBU. In fact I will not send my enemy there. It is a hopeless school and they need to stop recruiting students from far areas with the lie that they admit EVERYBODY into the nursing school only to frustruate the poor students out of the program. One of their professors even gave a student since the mother is on the board of the school answers to graded class homework! Talk of ACADEMIC DISHONESTY. The school of nursing at OBU needs to be shut-down, it is a disgrace to the nursing profession because of some so-called old-cargo RNs that don't know how to teach or what they are doing. For the students in there or the ones that go there because it is the only easy nursing school to get into, I wish you all the best on your waste of $12,000/per semester and 67% chance of passing your NCLEX!!! You have been warned!!!
