 | Quite Bright | My department is not creative or competitive. There is a built-in presence in this community, but try taking your degree to a bigger market. Without natural talent, you're going to have trouble. Ignorance and intolerance is prevalent on this campus. Campus life opportunities are few. Food plans are awful and expensive. UH & Phase 5 & 6 are the only decent housing options on campus. Dorm life is basically prison. I'm a senior and I'm so burnt out on dumb busy work it seems like it will be impossible to finish. If I could take back coming here, I would. | Campus Maintenance: A+, Useful Schoolwork: F | | | |

| | | Very limited diversity, if you are not Church of Christ, you don't exist. You are not hired for work-study or considered valuable. Although initially impressed with the school when I came to visit, when I started school it was impossible to sort out the necessary classes for my major. I ended up being placed in a major that had just been eliminated, which caused me to have to change majors and spend an additional semester taking classes that I had missed. My advisor helped me to decide what classes I needed, but seemed to be unaware that the degree I was seeking no longer existed. I had to park myself in the registrar's office to finally figure out that I had been taking and paying for classes that were not necessary for my major. I requested a new advisor and did get one who was more helpful. But I'm now responsible for paying for the classes that I was assigned. If you decide to go to school here, be sure to double and triple check anything that you are told. The education varies depending on department, but one example that should give pause: The computer science department is teaching computer programs from 1990......... | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | | |

| | Not so bright | Whatever you do do not take any online courses. they are a complete scam. The professors do not get back to you, do not answer their emails, and do not provide any feedback. Completely worthless. The regular classes are good except for the microbiology class, which seems to be a "bottleneck" class where they try to limit the success of the students so that the nursing program will not have too many applicants. The proffessor bragged about this on several occasions. His tests are not off the lectures and not from the book, so the pass rate is less than 50% and the "B" and higher grades are few and far between. I prefer a fair shot, rather than another scam class where they use unfair and fraudulant means to limit the applications to their nursing school. If you can go to another university. | Campus Aesthetics: A, Faculty Accessibility: D | | | |
