I love the school and and all the friends I have made. It is important to know what is expected of you when you choose to go to ORU. Don't come to ORU and then leave and complain on websites about rules that you did not like when they are clearly stated in the student handbook you can get before you attend ORU. If you challenge yourself and have a positive attitude you will do well and have fun!

The time spent at ORU is what you make it...it can be the worst experience ever OR it can be some of the most rewarding and wonderful. I personally got involved in intramural sports, wing activites, missions and leadership positions which: kept me active, prepared me for cross-cultural experiences in the workplace and allowed for me to form life-long friendships that I am ever grateful for. To say if ORU prepares you for continuing onto higher education, lets just say I am about to graduate and start practicing medicine this year...so it helped prepare me.

This university is a safe place to learn. Prayer begins most classes and the professors are like family. This is a place to "get your learnin' and keep your burnin'." People are real here and not close-minded. There aren't really any rules that make it hard to go here except for curfew, but it's set at midnight and 1am on weekends. When I was a freshman, I had to wear skirts to all my classes, but the dress code today is practically non-existent--jeans are allowed to classes. The biggest problem I had with the school was through student accounts. They tend to make mistakes and everything takes forever to get fixed. I would definately recommend this school to everyone.

As an accounting major I believe the education is very good, but just like a lot of schools it's what you make. The students are great and after 13+ I keep in touch with many of my friends even though I live in California and they are scattered throughout the US. There were no Easy-A accouting courses although I was a 3.3 in High School I struggled in my accounting classes. Most of the teachers (some still there) were excellent (although, I was not a big fan of the administration). I would recommend ORU to many people but it's not for everyone. Best thing to do is visit the campus for a week or so and you'll get a good idea of what its like. As far as my employeement like many of my friends we have all been sucessfull. All the accounting majors I know now make overs 100K (including myself) and a couple around 150K.
