I enjoyed my time at SGU and I have been to other schools and didnt enjoy being there at all. SGU was fun, exciting and very challenging in school work. You get what you pay for.
I feel I learned quite a bit not just in class but from other people. The teachers I had were always willing to help even offered tutoring if you were having a hard time. It is a small campus but I think that will help some people. You really get to know people. I went to the SGU Shawnee Campus.
I attended the SGU program in Tulsa for working adults. It is at best a diploma mill. Students are told anything to get them in the door then the university is constnantly changing or inventing new policies that drastically effect your world. About 4 of the 12 professors I had for class over a 2 year period possessed sufficient up to date knowledge of business today to teach in an adult program. Their lack of up to date knowledge would probably not be noted by 18 year old freshmen but working adults can see right through the BS. Several took their knowledge of a subject mostly from the text. I can read the book on my own without paying $840 and sitting in class for 20 hours and having it read to me. Get anything an employee of the University or a teacher tells you in writing for they are famous for telling you one thing and doing another. They will change requirements on a whim and tell you to suck it up. I personally would not reccomend this school as of 12/05 there are much better programs available in Tulsa for working adults to complete their degree.
