I loved SWOSU.Math
I loved SWOSU. As a math student, I especially loved the math department. I transferred there from a small college that, contrary to the reputation of small colleges, did not care about its students. The faculty at SWOSU really does care about its students, that's who they're there for. Don't get me wrong, if you deserve no empathy they won't give you any. They are like coaches - they push you to be better and don't give you anything you haven't earned. If you stop by and visit with your advisors and teachers and get to know them it really helps. I really enjoyed the student atmosphere too, there are a lot of rodeo kids around and that's kind of fun. I graduated and went to a large university for a second bachelor's and I hate the disconnection between the school and the kids. I miss SWOSU a lot. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Question
The two best things I did while inComputer Science
The two best things I did while in college were:

1) I worked and studied hard.
2) I made time to enjoy myself outside of coursework.
I won't say that SWOSU was 100% responsible for getting me to the place where I am in my career -- no, I attribute that to hardwork and determination. But SWOSU did prepare me better than most schools, because it tought me how to interact with people and teams. As a result, I was better-prepared to apply my education in a real-world setting than most of my colleauges from larger, more-reputable universities.I'll leave one final bit of advice to prospective students. MEET WITH YOUR PROFESSORS AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM. If you've been in a class more than two months and you haven't stopped by your professor's office at least once to ask questions or get advice, you're really missing out. I've never met anyone who said their faculty was as accessible as those at SWOSU -- take advantage of it!

Southwestern Oklahoma State is a great school. It has a great science department and an excellent pharmacy school. It is just the right size with approximately 5000 students. I would recommend it to anyone.
