| | | | | The class sizes are reasonable. There is a day and night class that I found to be convienent while keeping a job. The teachers were helpful they always answered questions. If I ever couldn't get a weld right they would work w\ me until I did even if they had to stay later. The office was capable and helpful w\ finding an apartment and a job. They continue to mail me "hot sheets" the help wanted ads for welders. I have never been w\out a job and can support myself quite comfortably on my pay. Right out of school in 2000 I was placed working at a welding shop where I didn't use much of the pipe welding I learned, but had the chance to learn everything I can make a spiral staircase, pot racks, truck frame repair, heavy machinery repair everything. Now I am a welding teacher at a local high school shop class and its fun. Although I have not yet gone onto a pipe line and the majority of welding at this school is pipe I would never be as good as I am if they hadn't given me the structured basics. I would highly recomend this school to anyone. | | Oct 26 2004 | Unknown | | |

| | | I graduated out of TWS in April 2002 as one of the best students ever(I won all the awards and the welder at the end). My picture is no doubt hanging in the hallway as I didn't get to stick around(job to go to!). TWS has been NO help to me in finding work and I am now unemployed. Tuition is WAY too high and if you don't know how to weld GOOD now, you won't learn at TWS. It's a good place to hone skills, not learn them. I'm being as honest as possible, take it from me, you're better (WAY BETTER) off just getting an entry-level welding job and sticking to it. Oh, and if your really have a need to go there, lock your doors and turn on your alarm, 'cause the building is in the GHETTO. The guy across the street who runs the welder-testing shop is a f_cking dick, I used to work for him and he has problems (I had to call the cops on him once 'cause he actually tried to kill me in the parking lot in broad daylight! His name is Larry and he is on the board of directors of TWS. TWS didn't care what I had to say about him, even after I gave them the police report. Fuck those assfucks.
