GFU was a wonderful experience for me! I would echo the sentiment that you need to fully appreciate that it is a Christian environment with certain standards and requirements to fulfill before you decide to attend. The biology/chemistry department was excellent but, as with all smaller schools, I recommend getting an internship of some sort to make you more competative with big state school graduates.

This school has a very positive atmosphere. Everyone is very willing to help each other out in any way they can. This includes faculty and students. It is a Christian University, and God is a big part of everything that goes on at George Fox. Although Christianity is very intentional at GFU, it is not forced. There are a number of students who do not share in the beliefs of Christianity. Overall, There is very little to complain about. Anyone wanting a good education in a pleasat atmosphere should look into this school.

I attended George Fox from 05-06. It's a great school if you want a small(er) private Christian school. The campus is beautiful, it's a very relaxing environment. Everyone is very kind. It is a CHRISTIAN school, you are required to attend chapel, and if your not a Christian, be prepared to hear about God alot.

I was in the Cinema and Media Communications major (video, motion graphics, ect.) I took a few classes and found the program to be a bit under developed. There are really only 3 profs for the entire CMCO major. They are obviously very busy, so individual help was hard to come by. If you interested in photography, John Bennett teaches great photo I and II classes, you have to be self motivated, but he has great input.

I ended up leaving the college, because I felt the Cinema and Communications major wouldn't challenge me enough. I attend OTIS College of Art and Design in Los Angeles for the next year.
