A weird place to be that is for sure.AverageReligion/Religious
A weird place to be that is for sure...People don't hangout with each other (i.e party) but see each other EVERY SINGLE DAY but still manage to pretend to know you because after all that;s what Jesus would do! (walk by "Hey how are? I still don't know your name and I still don't care just as long as you think I'm a nice person for taking the time to say hey...okay bye!") The school lacks camaraderie and spirit. Its also very expensive for how little it offers.

Not impressed for several reasons but mainly becauseAverageHistory/Histories (art history/etc.)
Not impressed for several reasons but mainly because this school will not get you a job anywhere to pay off the debt you incur. What is the point of college? To get a job after right? "No, it's about making friends, challenging your mind...for 26K a year..." Not a wise way to handle your money if you ask me. There are better bible type schools that cost a quarter of Multnomah and you will probably make better friends. Everyone is really busy at MU and no one really has time to do all the spiritual stuff they want you to do. I advise that you take a look for yourself. This is a dangerous place to be if you expect to grow spiritually. I just recommend skipping the bible college and going to a real school where you learn something that will get you into a Job. The world needs Christians to be in all fields not just huddled together at bible school. If missions is your goal then JUST GO otherwise what is the point of being $80,000 in debt and have no skills to pay the bills?

DO NOT GO HERE unless you visit andBrightReligion/Religious
DO NOT GO HERE unless you visit and feel this is were you want to be. I mean it! This school is pretty lame in comparison to just about anywhere else in the world. It seriously has some major hurdles to overcome if it is going to be competitive. I mean you will be investing YEARS of your life. Don't just go somewhere because you have some hint of an idea that maybe God is calling you here. Trust the desires of your heart, if they are not formed in sin, pursue them! God put them there! or do you think you put them there and God had nothing to do with didn't think so. God puts the desires in our hearts so trust him and do what you want to do with your life! (Psalm 20:3, 37:3-5) If you don't want to go here don't go because you thinks its noble or something. Thats what I did and I had to come to terms with the fact that I did not want to be there and I was just trying to convince myself the whole time that it was the right thing to do. If you don't check them out first you'll end up like a lot of people and feel that you made the wrong choice. This is a University that is still learning how to be a university. Also, I'm not from Portland and I have to say that the hipster scene here is so lame. Men here are a bunch of pretty boys who spend more time in front of the mirror then women and have nice hair, cool boots, and soft hands...just saying you don't want that kind of attitude to rub off on you. It may be doing wonders for the Justin Beibers or One Direction type dudes but most of the men of this world are not concerned with looking pretty for the little girlies. This world needs men...not boys in skinny jeans. - j
