 | Super Brilliant | I am about to graduate with an Associate of Applied Science in the Paralegal Program at Portland Community College. I do have to say that this program is very distinct from other programs at PCC so I don't know if my positive experiences are shared by those in other programs. However, I have had very positive experiences in the paralegal program. The program head, Jerry Brask, is absolutely fantastic. His classes are not easy, but they are fair and you learn a lot. I got a job as a paralegal 1/3 of my way into the program and the classes I had taken just up to that point gave me a great foundation to start working in a law office. I have only positive things to say about roughly 90% of my paralegal professors, which is a really great percentage. My general education professors I would say that percentage is only about 60%, but overall, I have been very happy with the education I have received at PCC and the positive impact it has had on my life. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Useful Schoolwork: B+ | | | |

| | Quite Bright | PCC has been a great school. Most of my instructors have been great, and I have not had a single one with an attitude that was unacceptable. I have taken a few classes that were really eye-opening. Peace & Conflict with Tom Hastings at Sylvania, Human Geography under Constantino at Rock Creek, and Analysis and Evaluation of Argument with Kim Haddix at Rock Creek. These were just the phenominal teachers, I have had many good ones as well. My only complaints are (1) Student Services are always backed up, sometimes for hours. (2) The parking situation at the Sylvania Campus is completely illogical. That parking lot has made me late for class many times. Other than that there is nothing that would deter me from re-applying. Yeah, the social scene is none existant. That would matter to me if I was in High School. | Individual Value: A, Social Life: D | | | |

| | | PCC has so many instructors that are demeaning and rude, and that don't have the student's best interest at heart. The financial aid office, is full of incompetence. They are so back-logged continually, that you wonder how they function through day to day projects. Advisors seem to only want to converse through email and are seldom available. I am so disgusted and disappointed in this school, I am embarrassed to tell anyone I attend this cracker-jack box of a school. | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | | |
