Pretty disappointed with the overall quality of educationAverageEngineering Department
Pretty disappointed with the overall quality of education in the past year. Many profs I had didn't understand how to use online classroom tools and weren't interested in learning. Many profs didn't take feedback well, or simply didn't understand student concerns. Homework in most classes was extremely challenging without providing necessary background or practice on how to solve the problems in lectures. Lectures were often dry and devoid of any kind of enthusiasm from professors. Academic help center hours were quite limited. I ended up learning more from YouTube videos than I did in-class lectures.

Question
I went to a Large state school inQuite BrightBusiness - Management and Administration
I went to a Large state school in Texas before transferring to University of Portland. It is a very unique school where people genuinely care about each other. One thing that separate UP from other schools is the faculty availability to students and how much they care about their students succeeding.

Question
I miss home! The Bluff was the best,English
I miss home! The Bluff was the best, most enriching four years of my life. Only downside is that UP is pretty underrated for being one of the best institutions of the West. It's consistently lumped in with Gonzaga, etc., when academically there's just no comparison. I wish administration would do more to promote the school in Portland and beyond. That being said, I'm so grateful for my time at the school and all UP gave me and the doors it opened. Go Pilots!
