| Quite Bright | Be careful about attending here. The academics are not challenging and if you want to go on to grad school or a competitive job people will not recognize the name of this school. Many people drop out before their third year here, others (like me) and finish because of the money invested since you cannot transfer many of the classes to another school. The faculty and student body are very friendly (it's like being at church camp year round) but you are spending way more than the education is worth. There is minimal (and I mean MINIMAL) diversity on campus and VERY little to do in Salem. Average students will do well here, if you want a challenge go somewhere else. | Faculty Accessibility: A+, Surrounding City: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | Although this is a good college and very friendly, I wish that I had known how lax they would be about getting grades back to students in a timely manner. I am presently in the Family Studies Online group and have been deeply disappointed that I got my papers in before deadline and then had to wait WEEKS(!) before finding out what the grades were. Since I base much of my writing based on feedback from previous papers, it's very disconcerting not to have the feedback in time to write the next paper. I am thinking of transferring to a local secular university for the Summer semester. I also feel that, although the professors are supposed to be approachable, when you email one of them you may not hear back for several days. I realize these professors also teach regular classes, but online people pay tuition too and should not be getting the short end of the stick. | Useful Schoolwork: A, Education Quality: B+ | | | |

| Bright | I attended Western Baptist's online Family Studies program. I had a very positive experience there, and I HIGHLY reccomend WB. The staff is wonderful and very approachable. The atmosphere is Christ-centered, which is what I was looking for. Western Baptist met or exceeded every expectation I have. The program encourages one to identify and explore his/her own beliefs, while providing a Biblically-based framework for learning. I believe the academics have well prepared me for my graduate program. | Education Quality: A+, Surrounding City: B- | | | |
