| Super Brilliant |
Going to this school was one of the saddest and lonliest times of my life. It was the worst decision I could have ever made for myself.
First, the dorm situation was horrible. The kids were extremely rude and I faced a lot of harrassment. The majority of the kids who go to this school are introverts.
Just to get an idea of what I mean: The parking lots were completely empty on the weekends. Nobody was in town, they all left to have fun at Oregon/Oregon State with their friends. Nobody attended the football/basketball/soccer/volleyball games, the fan support was non-existant. There are few clubs and activities at Western and the one's they had were pretty much worthless.
As far as the education goes, it was pretty fair. I went to Carroll College in Montana a year and Western cannot even put on Carroll's Jock.
As far as the dating scene, it can be brutal if you are an already single guy coming into this school because most of the decent girls (which there are extremely too few of), either have boyfriends from Oregon/Oregon State or there are obvious reasons they are single.
The facilities, particularly the work-out facilities are in horrible shape and are quite dangerous, particularly the Weight Room, under the stadium and Both the main and the old gym. I can see why it is pretty hard to recruit athletes to this school. I am at the University of Montana now and it so far, it has been the best time of my life: Having a blast with friends who transferred from Carroll, very friendly down to earth people, lively campus, lots and lots of things to do -has everything you can think of. When considering going to Western, I suggest you give it a long hard look: The lesson that I learned the hard way is that a school is not about the buildings or the facilities, its about those who are in it, the people that matter. | Campus Aesthetics: C+, Education Quality: F | | | |

| Quite Bright | If you like a small campus then this is for you. There are a lot of on campus activities that are really fun. The dorms are wonderful. The food isn't too bad. | Individual Value: A+, Surrounding City: D | | | |
