Willamette is a school where everyone is given an opportunity to flourish. Students here are intelligent and involved. Everyone participates in different activities and is always busy doing something. While Salem isn't the most exciting city in the world, it's still a fun, quirky place to enjoy college. The community of Willamette is enough to keep life challenging and entertaining. If you are interested in attending a college that boasts not only strong academics and professors who care, but ALSO a unique and comprehensive 'college experience', Willamette may be for you.

Personally, Willamette was the best choice for me because of what it offers. The size of the school is very conducive to social interaction as long as one makes an effort to become involved. Also, I have yet to have a bad experience with a professor, as they are almost always available in person and always reachable by e-mail. Since I created my own major here I really appreciated how easy the process was and how much help I received from my advising professors.

Willamette University really fosters a community-type atmosphere for the students and is thus a very good school to be at in terms of a smooth transition from High School to College. I feel comfortable enough with faculty and administration to go up to them and talk about campus events/class lectures and as a student, I actually feel like I have a say in these matters!
