If you like small, closed communities then this is the place. A large number of people know each other on campus. It's almost like a family living on campus.

This is a great school but if you are wanting to be lost in the crowd and not noticed by your professors this is not the place for you. Professors are very involved in your success, and people are eager to get to know you. Personally I love it, but not all people feel the same way.
Campus Aesthetics: A+, Surrounding City: C+

If you're looking at Willamette for college, definitely visit and get in touch with the office of admission. These people are obsessed with making sure kids know everything they need to know about WU in order to make a good college decision. Also, if you're a good leader you can bring so much to this campus. For instance, we didn't have a cheer squad until a student who really wanted it pulled it together came to campus. She had the full support of the office of student activities, too, and she's built something here that will last.
