Getting accepted at alvernia was easy because theyBrightEducation
Getting accepted at alvernia was easy because they accept pretty much everyone who applies. I decided to attend alvernia because of all the financial aid that i was offered, but i did not recieve half of what they had offered me. During my first year i discovered that several of the students are conceited and arrogant, and that the staff are less than capable of their jobs. While the education i recieve is decent, there is no social life at alvernia and the staff treat the students like they dont matter. I find the staff is less mature than many of the students. Favorites are often picked, and least favorites are also picked. The staff gives you no privacy and will come and go into your room as they please, sometimes without even knocking. Also, there is often little to no parking, and even when there is parking its confusing. This school has no clue what its doing or where its going. Its a complete waste of money and is not worth the 30000 i spend on it each year. I would not reccomend anyone attend this school. ever.

Question
I felt that this school was a wasteBrightEducation
I felt that this school was a waste of time and money. I live in New Jersey and decided to go to school out of state, because I wanted to get away from home and thought that it would be a nice change of pace.Alvernia was one of the out of state schools that accepted me and two of their sports teams recruited me to play there, so I decided to attend. This school was a joke! The campus was beautiful, but there is hardly any parking ever and you are forced to park in designated parking lots that are located nowhere near the dorm rooms or class rooms. The food is horrible for the money that you spend to go there, and they serve pretty much the same thing every week. The education that I received was fairly decent but the social life at Alvernia is non existent. Mostly everyone that attends alvernia university are commuters, so they always seem like they are in a rush to and from class. The surrounding area sucks and is pretty boring. Overall this school is a 2 out of 10

Question
The nursing program at Alvernia is a completeQuite BrightNursing
The nursing program at Alvernia is a complete joke. The curriculum is challenging, as is any nursing program, however the professors repeatedly bombard you with busy work and assignments that are sometimes not even graded. Most of the professors do not teach the material at all in class, so going to lecture is really only beneficial to get participation points. I've paid 30,000 dollars a year to teach myself everything I know. The faculty are condescending, rude, and arrogant. You could be the best student in the class and they will call you into their office for yawning in class. Every semester I remembering thinking, it could not get worse and yet it always does. If I wasn't so close to graduating I would have dropped out by now. Think long and hard before enrolling in this program, and then choose a better school.
