Initially the experience was good. All of the Faculty was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, life took an unexpected turn and I had to temporarily withdrawal from my courses. Before finally deciding to withdrawal I called and spoke to my adviser, whom redirected me to another adviser. She reviewed my information and told me that my withdrawal would not affect my financial aid in anyway. A month later I get a bill for almost $2,000.00!! I called and spoke to someone in the Accounts Receivables department and He looked up my information and said he was unsure why I got a bill because I was enrolled long enough that none of my financial add should have been returned. Still I am receiving a bill and now they are demanding payment and telling me that can no longer enroll or get my transcript. My initial plans where to return to my studies but with the treatment and incorrect information that I have received I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.

You get out of it what you put in. Don't expect to come here and not work hard and slack off. It is hard work but it will be very rewarding.

I did not have a good experience with this school. I found other comments posted to be true in my experience too. Admissions staff is very friendly and helpful. The instructors are generally friendly too however this is all to no avail if you should run into technical difficulties or personal difficulties. I had a medical emergency with my son and a tree fall on my house and instead of being flexible and under standing they just give you paperwork to fill out but no time to fill it out. The schedule is too fast paced to allow for portfolio quality work and the academic advisers that are supposed to be there to help you aren't. I have had a new adviser every session. they are just not reachable if you can even figure out who you have.

This is really upsetting and unsettling for me to read some os these reviews. I started classes at AIPO in Jan.2007 and I am still enrolled. I love my classes and find them to be very challenging. I did only recieve a GED so I am very offended by some of the statements made here. I am not an idiot, I'm actually pretty smart.
I am a 42 year old woman that has to work 40 hrs. a wk. I work hard for my money and I feel this is the opportunity I have waited for all my life, I can go to work and school and take care of my home and family.
I am a talented artistic individual and find my drawing classes to be very encouraging and helpful. I am getting better than I thought I could be at drawing (which I was good to begin with and am working on excellence) and this is thanks to AIPO, and my hard work. I think this is a great school and my family is also very proud of me for my accomplishments. My daughter is starting classes through AIPO also and she is a very intelligent young lady. I think these bad reviews are coming from disgruntled students and employees and I don't think it's fair to people like me that need an online school, for idiots such as yourselves to be bashing it so badly. The students in my classes by the way are very bright articulate people that know how to spell quite a bit better than some of you:)If you'd like to check to see if I am an actual student my name is Katherine Marr McIntosh, remember that name because some of you losers will be seeing it someday.
