Don't believe the pictures in the brochures, everything looks dirty in real life. It's extremely clique-y. If you don't have a group cemented by the end of Sneak Peek you're out of luck. The student's that work there are nice but the actual administrative staff is quite rude. If you have a problem with lots of drinking, STAY AWAY. The RA's and higher ups don't do anything the enforce the rules.

Although it sounds cliche, Albright is honestly what you make it. You certainly won't find the same kind of social life or party scene as you would, for example, at Penn State -- you'll find the campus usually pretty dead on weekends as many students go home. However, students are generally nice and pretty much everyone finds their niche, but being involved in some form is imperative (Greek life, performance ensembles, athletics, etc.) Professors are largely very knowledgeable and approachable, although there are the occasional few that are a bit detached and overzealous. I'm transferring for my junior year, because I think I will find better career prospects for what I plan to go into (law), but that doesn't mean there aren't well respected programs at Alright -- it definitely serves its function as a small, liberal arts college.

Im a freshman at Albright College and have only been here for two months but with all good experiences. I was very nervous at first and thought Albright wasn't the place for me, but I have showed myself differently. I saw the small student population and the city of Reading as reasons leading to a poor social life but it has proven to be just the opposite. There has been at least one party every weekend and sometimes even during the week. The school also hosts its own events very routinely which have been exciting in themselves. The academics are challenging no matter your major and ALL the teachers will speak english clearly. Albright may not be the school for everyone but it was for me and I hope to enjoy it this much for the rest of the year.
