The atmosphere was completely antagonistic to personal growth and may heaven help you if you ask too many questions. Not so much education as indoctrination. Little to no critical thinking skills taught as part of the curriculum. This is a place to digest and learn to disseminate the cult-like teachings of an extreme fundamentalism.

I'll describe what I observed during my time at this school. This school is good socially if you fit into one of the cliques, which entails having lots of extra money. (Too bad for those that don't fit into a clique--even though the college is supposed to teach students to be Christ like, there's not any concern for those students). Academically, it is not up to par with some community colleges. The majority of students don't give a thought to their studies. The best comparison I can give is a country club for the rich kids of pastors and missionaries.

Baptist Bible College (BBC) is a ministry school. There main goal is preparing people to go out and fufill the Great comission found in Luke 24. If you are looking to pursue some area of ministry weather it be missions, counseling, pastoral studies, and even teaching I suggest that you give BBC a good long look. BBC is making a profound impact in my own life. I see the spiritual growth that myself and the people around me are experiencing and it truly excites me.

BBC&S is a great ministry school. It's not designed to be a liberal arts college, nor is it advertised that way. BBC&S trains you for ministry, and it does so very well. The rules are reasonable, the professors are caring and concerned, the campus is beautiful, and the classes prepare you for ministry. I went to seminary after graduating from BBC, and the education I received prepared me for master's level work. I am very pleased with my experience there, and would recommend it to anyone who's looking to go into full-time ministry (pastor, youth pastor, educator, etc.). Go and check it out for yourself!
