As an adult learner, I was very concerned about attending school with students 20 years my junior. I have been welcomed by the younger students, I am having a great time. Most of the professors are super accessible, helpful and vested in your success. I will be transferring to a 4 year school next semester. BCCC has saved me tons of money and has been a very good experience overall. The quality of the education that I have received has been very good. In fact, many of the faculty at Bucks also teach at local 4 year colleges such as Delaware Valley College.

They rip you off if you have an emergency and have to withdraw. Then they hinder any further education somehwere better by holding your transcripts. How can they expect students to pay for education they didn't receive? Is the American Education System serious?

President does not sign honors recognition letters (copy is sent). Language and Literature department is snobbish; places most people in developmental courses(wastes your time & money). The college does not have quality articulation agreements with schools in state (most credits transfer as general credits). Good school only for taking general education courses that will transfer equally with your four year school of choice.

Going into my second & last year at Bucks (doing the half and half) I can say that I really have enjoyed it. At first, I was very reluctant to attend because I wanted the college experience. I had no choice though in the matter, we simply couldn't pay for all four years.First off, the faculty was nothing but nice to me. I was unsure of what to do and when to do it, but they helped me through all my procrastination and bad habits.
I've had only one or two teachers that I haven't liked, all of them are pretty solid. The student body is diverse and multicultural, and you kind find some pretty hot kids there. I was also worried first year that I wouldn't find any parties, but if you know the right people, you'll find as many parties as you want. Also, I had the money and flexibility that my friends out at other colleges did not. I college hopped a lot and ended up visiting Penn State University Park, Temple, Drexel,Northeastern, Boston University, Lockhaven, Pitt, and Westchester all within one year to see friends, and of course lots of parties. The 'fun' at college places a huge importance for many students, but essentially you aren't going to drink. That use to be a huge fixation of mine, and even though I have, I've gotten my stuff together at Bucks. If it wasn't for Bucks I would have a very sorry GPA and probably would have ended up there anyway after dropping out. I'm transferring out after this year, but will miss it!!
