Maybe I should be more specific. I am an English Literature major-but for some reason they did not put that on my account. Instead, I was given this uptight registration adviser that only took two of the classes that I needed to graduate, then gave me two completely different classes that was not going to my major at all. On top of that I was given a condescending professor who thought I was doing nothing but slacking when in actuality I was coming in and out of the hospital with a near-fatal illness and I was still doing the work. The staff here is completely unhelpful, the advice-assuming that you're able to even catch the professors and advisers-is completely useless, and the safety staff is a joke. I've been threatened, nearly raped and nearly killed on campus. I would've been a lot safer in the projects. And the classes I did pass were even worth the $42 thousand tuition-on one semester! The scholarship they gave me didn't even cover the room and board! No wonder this school isn't even in the List of Best Colleges in America. It's not even mentioned in any college catalog I've looked over. Matter of fact, I never even heard of it until I came to Philadelphia. Arcadia University is just another one of those private colleges that will allow people in for hopes of one day being recognized as one of the top ten best colleges in the state, but will drop off anyone that doesn't fit their "elite criteria" while refusing to give refunds in an attempt to both look good in their up-tight society and still keep their money. DO NOT COME TO ARCADIA! IT WILL ONLY DESTROY YOUR LIFE!

This school leaves a lot to be desired. It feels much like a clique-y high school, and is awful to transfer to. The food is absolutely terrible and it is an outrage that we have to pay so much for it. The teachers I have had so far are satisfactory, but I have heard a lot of complaints from friends and classmates about unhelpful advisors and teachers who should be fired but aren't because of tenure. There is nothing to do in the immediate area, so unless you are up for spending around $10 and an hour and a half to get to and from Philadelphia, you're out of luck for entertainment. This school looks great on a tour and throughout orientation, but once the semester starts, the flaws of Arcadia are uncovered in rapid succession.

Arcadia University sucks cooch.THEY NEVER HAVE SPOONS!!!! Anyway, all of the professors are dry like toast without jam. All of the professors I have encountered are dry and hard to listen to four more than five minutes. I wasted a year of my life expecting things to a least get a little I bit better but boy was I wrong. The 42,000 I pissed away can never get back. All they care about is damn study abroad.. unless you plan to go to Australia and play with the kangaroos you're going to be completely miserable. The only thing I got out of this school was a free pen, t-shirt, and walking through the castle. and KUCH HALL! YAY Arcadia is where fun goes to die. My fun is now burried at the cemetary nearby. Please don't even think about going here. You'll have more fun dodging bullets at Temple.
