I had no clue about Bucknell until I got there - literally. And it ended up to be the best thing happening to me. A lot of people will say that it's too small or everyone is the same - but the truth is, there's a lot at Bucknell if you look. Not everyone is the same. Sure there are the common trends that can be annoying but I can say that I was pleasantly surprised with the people there. I've never been surrounded by so many good people before --students, faculty, administration, townspeople, etc. Once you get over the excessive stereotypes you can easily cast on people there, you find quite an array of different personalities. I met some of my best friends there and was inspired by so many different professors in different ways.Bucknell is a place that will change your life for the better if you let it. I've never known so many people who love that place, who love that school. It's a community you will be proud to be a part of, and a community that will stay with you forever.

I knew Bucknell was small, but it feels really small- remember that there is slim to zero diversity of race and greek life is HUGE. The numbers are skewed because freshman don't rush, but probably like 80% of people who can be in a frat or sorority are.

I was recruited here for a sport. I couldn't be happier. Faculty is very helpful and easy to talk to. Campus is beautiful. Athletic facilities are as good as any small school in the country. The only thing I'd point out is that Lewisburg is not the big city. If you're looking for downtown NYC then it won't be a good fit.
