I absolutely LOVED my experience at Chatham andQuite BrightChemistry
I absolutely LOVED my experience at Chatham and would not consider any other school. Chatham helped me to grow into the person I am today--someone much more confident, capable and open minded than I'd ever expected. Without the community support and opportunities provided by Chatham I don't think I could have had achieved the same amount of success.

As with anything, your time at Chatham is what you make of it. If you never attend events and do not join some organizations, then the social scene will seem dull. However, if you take advantage of the opportunities and open up, you will have so much fun!

The school emphasizes environmentalism and the student body is has a progressive take on social issues. However, you're free to have your own opinion as long as you're not hurting others.

This is a very small, quite all girls school. I did think any of the student were particularly interesting or intelligent. Not much of what you learn is useful in the real world either.

Chatham College is Pittsburgh's best kept secret.Language - French/Spanish/etc.
Chatham College is Pittsburgh's best kept secret. Academics are strong, Profs are engaging and excellent, all classes are taught by professors (no TA's), the student body is friendly, supportive, and intelligent, and the campus is totally beautiful. It is a small school, but it is within close distance of Pittsubrgh's larger cultural resources and other universities. Chatham is not for the overly conservative or closed minded. Some people have an impression that because it is a women's college everyone must by gay. This is totally untrue. I'm not homosexual, nor was the majority of the student body. In addition, guys from area colleges seem to respect that Chatham women are serious about learning and not typical partying types. If education and learning is your priority you will love it here! There are so many opportunities to take interesting classes, try new things, travel abroad, and interact with brilliant profs and interesting students of many backgrounds. If you want to party and drink your college years away, look elsewhere. If you want to go to college in Pittsburgh or even just the east coast, Chatham is one of the best.
