In general the school courts mediocrity over excellence. They are more focussed upon building up numbers of new students than satisfactorily serving the students already attending by promoting quality programs or maintaining the resources they provide. There is a lot of hype and little to back up that hype. They are supposedly big on sustainability but they have policies that waste greater amounts of paper than other schools, and large amounts of food - but are not open to changing these systems in the name of sustainability.

This is a very small, quite all girls school. I did think any of the student were particularly interesting or intelligent. Not much of what you learn is useful in the real world either.

Chatham is an amazing college. The campus is beautiful- I feel like I'm lounging on a nature resort somewhere. The students are friendly, almost everyone is open to meeting new people and gaining new friendships. The faculty and staff do everything they can to help you and ensure you get the most of your college education. Activities are abundant on campus- student activities is always trying to ensure there are events that everyone wants to participate in. Clubs and sports are available to everyone, and if there's something that's not available that you want to do (for example, chess club) you have the opportunity create that club. The academics are strong. Even though my major isn't offered at Chatham, they're ensuring that I can cross-register at another local university to get the classes that aren't available here to complete my major. Overall, Chatham is amazing, and I wouldn't change my college decision if I was paid.
