There is no shortage of opportunity to be creative here; there are so many clubs, organizations, and activities it is overwhelming. Every university has its bad professors, but I found that if a professor was a bad lecturer, they would be more than willing to help during office house. Expect the academics to be challenging, and the tuition to be expensive.

Carnegie Mellon is a fantastic place to live and learn. Its a hard work, I'm not going to lie, but the satisfaction I have gotten from the interactions between my teachers and peers makes me remember exactly why I chose the school. The opportunities abound at CMU; I would never go anywhere else!

The stereotype of CMU is true for the most part. A nerdy school with a large focus on academics. Sports and social life aren't as important. However, I think most people are able to find the social life they want. There are still frats and parties and there are a lot of different people here from the best Computer Science majors to the best Drama students. So if having a big social life is your thing, then you should be perfectly able to find it. Just keep in mind that people here won't care if you're prom king/queen as much as your former high school would.
