For my field of study I think internships should have been the first thing the professors should have drilled in our heads.

At first I was quick to bad mouth cheyney but then I did something about what I was lacking which was extracurricular activitites. I got very involved. Currently im involved in the pre-law society, Mens fellowship, honors academy, Langston hughes poetry club and many more to come next semester. If your a slacker who doesnt want to do anything but get out of your house Cheyney is NOT for you. If you want to make a difference and get involved then Cheyney is the place for you. The revolution will be televised!

when it come to the academic part of Cheyney its a wonderful school with caring teachers and faculty. The only problem though is the campus life. There are some people that try to get things done at Cheyney but it doesnt seem like anything will change. For instance every friday there is a great exodus and a good 75% of the campus goes home leaving the other 25% of students on campus to walk around bored doing absolutely nothing. There is a lack of interest for any extracurricular activities among most students unless its sports or greeks. As for the residential halls; when something breaks in Cheyneys residential halls it takes a very long time to get fixed (Its been 3 months and I still dont have clear reception on my t.v.) The R.A.'s try there best but its the people above them that drag there feet. If your an out of state student (like I am) I wouldnt recommend Cheyney University because it is not worth the extra money but for Pennsylvania residents that struggled through high school and barely made it out, Cheyney would be a good choice for you to better yourself
