I came to Edinboro b/c of the cheapQuite BrightBiology
I came to Edinboro b/c of the cheap tuition and the snow! People who complain that it snows all the time did not pay attention in orientation, as I'm sure they stated this several times! Another point about the environment is that it is in the middle of nowhere; which means no sky scrapers for you city kids, don't complain about this if you come here you should have toured it before you came.

The proffs. are nice and for the most part very helpful in the more challanging classes. In the core classes the proffs are just there b/c they have to be and so are you. The bio department itself is falling apart, but they are claiming that there will be renovations sometime in the future (after I'm gone I presume). There are also other renovations going on around campus like the new residence halls (which I heard were in fact sinking...but I dunno) they look nice though! The older halls like Earp and Dearborn are really great, but steer clear of Towers if you can!

As for the food....AVOID IT!!! It's overpriced and potentially dangerous to your health. The best part about Edinboro is the snow, there's a SMALL ski place down the street and two bigger ones about 45-60 min away and the school does trips to all of them which are fairly cheap if not free.

EUP is a jock school.Bright
EUP is a jock school. If you're not on a team and came to this school, you know, LEARN something, forget it. Professors read from the same notes they've had for the past 20 years and they couldn't care about their student's success. I sought for a mentor while in the History Department to guide me but no one could take the time to assist me with the major. My first-year dorm mate who was on the Cross Country team got a complete free scholarship because he runs. A girl who I worked with in town had a boyfriend who got a free ride too, because he played on the golf team! How about paid scholarships for academics, huh?I went to better schools later, like Slippery Rock. Their profs seemed to care and I got a better education for the 1 1/2 years I was there to get a substantial degree. Don't waste your time with EUP. I see on the local news they may be considering shutting down the school due to high costs and low graduation rates. Good! Don't go to EUP! Visit other schools; some actually treat their students with respect; they're almost like a family. Like Mercyhurst or Gannon in this area. Please consider going there instead--for your own sake and education!

I do not go here but I heardBright
I do not go here but I heard that there were alot of sexual assaults on this campus. There was girl who was raped numerous times and she reported it and everything and her rapist kept getting away with it. And then another female student was raped by a tutor. And the university's judicial affairs did nothing at all. I feel sorry for those girls. Don't come to this school.
