The Edinboro University of Pennsylvania

I thought Edinboro would be a create place to go to school it was close to home and seemed nice. The thing is you cant trust any of the staff unless they are the head of the department. Finacial aid and the busars office screwed me over multiple times each time it eved up costing me thousands of dollars. The last time they gave me false info I lost not one but all of my scholarships and now i cant afford to come back. So dont trust what they say.

1st Year Female -- Class 1920

Education Quality: A, Individual Value: F

This college has not helped me at all in my major. It has taken four years of my life away and no actual degree. The nursing department has a few professors that will help but the rest are , figure it out yourself. I never write reviews,but I am hoping to help you in not making the same mistake I did,which was going to this school. There are many other choices for you so please look into another school or RN school that will help you achieve your goal of becoming a nurse.

Alumnus Male -- Class 2000

This university is a nightmare. I am SO happy I transferred! Where to start?
Food: the dining hall is nasty! I lucked out being on a scholarship and having flex money to spend so I didn't starve. Dining hall food has a reputation for making people sick, I remember one of my PROFESSORS, on the first day of school, telling us in a caring manner how bad the food is and that when you have an upset stomach from it, it's understandable...so there's that.

Financial aid: a joke. I can't tell you how many times this dept messed up my billing. I was on scholarship and my room/board was paid for. Financial aid didn't care or understand that. They charged me for 2 rooms and didn't fix this for a month. That really screwed over my much needed refund check getting to me in a timely manner. People in this dept are extremely rude and don't care. Screw them.

Residential education: ultimately the reason I transferred out of this hell hole. Long story short, being on scholarship through the school, they could randomly move you. 2 weeks into the fall semester I got a notification that I was being moved to another highlands dorm with random people...bullshit. The first 2 roommates were ok, quiet like me, respectful. 2 weeks later at 1am a random girl starts moving into our dorm because she had been kicked out of 2 dorms prior for arguing. Wonderful. This roommate was a disaster. She was obnoxious, always had it hotter than hell in the room, and she was so disrespectful. She cornered me 2 DAYS after moving into the room because she needed it to be 78 degrees in the room and I reasonably asked that it be slightly colder than that. To make a long story short I didn't feel safe and I went to the RA 3 times a week between February-the last week of the semester because I didn't feel safe. The RA basically told me "let's just leave her be, she has an anger issue" ...are you fucking kidding me???? Let's jump ahead a little...I was going to stay my sophomore year...I was asking to live off campus since I had one hell of an experience living on campus, I didn't think it would be a problem. WRONG. there's a TWO YEAR on campus housing contract and they wouldn't let me break that...despite the campus nurse's input, my long log of shit that went down during those 3 months, and so on. Seriously, I'm not making this up.

Weather: it's in the snow belt, it sucks. Sidewalks don't get cared for. I'll end it there. I wouldn't send my dog to Edinboro. Pick a better school. This place is a hell hole.
