 | | Grove City College will suck you in then beat you down for the next four years. The administration WILL treat you like a child. They will have no respect for any of the opinions you voice, they only do what they want. The best way I can describe it is like being behind the Iron Curtain, nothing bad about the school ever gets out. Everyone else who gave the surrounding town and night life a bad grade is correct. There simply is none! NOTHING! Unless you want to go to some stupid hick bar and deal with a bunch of fat white trash townies, and worry about getting caught when you come back on campus, there's nothing to do. I have exponentially more freedom when I am back at home with my parents. I would not recommend this college to anyone. Do not come here. It's miserable. I get sick thinking that I wasted 3 years here so far and have one more to go. | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | | |

Don't go here unless you enjoy being bored and want to do nothing but talk about religion. The students here are either complete bible humpers or just assholes who enjoy pretending to be bad-ass among the religious zealots. The classes are mostly a waste. All they do is cram God down your throat and make you know religious bull shit even when it is completely irrelevant to the topic. You also have "humanities" class. I'm not sure what they have to do with humanity, but professors tell you their opinions on God then you take tests on it. Then there's this thing called "Chapel". Ironically it has far less to do with religion than anything else at the college. Its also early in the morning and required 16 times a semester. To give you an idea of what its like, one chapel I attended was a slide show of aborted fetuses. That is literally what it was. Nothing about abortion as a political or religious issue, but instead picture apparently intended to make you think, "Eww aborted fetuses are nasty. I now don't like abortions." So as for social life there... well, that about sums it up. The only good thing I have to say is that most of the professors are friendly. They aren't necessarily good at teaching or helping you, but they do try and will be nice about it. This is assuming you don't try to argue anything against their religious belief. If this is the case you just fail. The town of Grove City is worthless. There isn't really anything there except a couple fast food joints and a walmart. The people in town are scary as hell. Wal-Mart seriously reminded me of "The Hills Have Eyes". Who would have thought there would be so much inbreeding in such a conservative intolerant town.If you have any respect for yourself as an intelligent human being, please do not go there. | Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Education Quality: F | | | |

| | Quite Bright | GCC didn't prepare me for the real world, only a world where Christian egotists hold high positions in republican companies and government. The lack of teaching in how to question authority leads most people who graduate from this school to follow in the footsteps of their leaders in the church, and thus break no new ground. The oppressive conditions of the campus weed out anyone who might think for themselves before graduation unless the person is highly closeted in his or her own ability and personal truth. The college will also kick out students who don't toe the line politically, socially (with regard to anything from alcohol to objecting to being treated like children with regard to the opposite sex), or theologically. Many teachers at the school refuse to listen to anything that questions their own viewpoint on any subject, from history to economics. If you don't answer with the way you're supposed to, you will get flunked in the course. | Perceived Campus Safety: A, Innovation: F | | | |
