I like Gannon. The campus is very nice and neatly spread out, things are easy to find and easy to get to. The professors are very nice, helpful, and accessible, and the courses ARE NOT HARD as long as you STUDY and do what is asked of you. Many people are failing because they are simply too lazy.

On the downside: a lot of the time, it's BORING. If you're a non-drinker (such as I), you'd better hope you find someone else to hang out with on the weekend, because everyone is out at the frat parties (which suck, by the way, if you're an underclassmen.) I do not feel safe at night on campus, and many times you are forced to take a class that, by the time it's done, it will be completely dark outside. Being in the middle of the city, people can just walk right through from anywhere, and even though most of it is well-lit, I never see any campus police or security after 4pm.

Also, cafeteria food is NOT good. Once in a while there will be something that's alright (I only enjoy the ice cream bar, and occasionally they'll have good soup.) You're better off using your meal plan (which is extremely overpriced and you get too many...who needs 275 meals a semester?) at Doc's Landing.

It's very clique-y here and in the first week, people find their little group and stay with it - no one wants to make new friends. It is just like high school, people are gossipy and snobby. The dorms are alright - if you're a girl, do anything in your power to NOT stay on the 2nd floor of Finegan Hall -- you're right below the guy's floor and they are loud all night long.If you're just going for education and don't care about your social life or extracurriculars, Gannon is a great place to go.

This school is so full of themselves its ridiculous, not only the students, but the professors, and University Management. Basically its a group of students who aren't smart enough to go to a better school but can afford to go to Gannon, a University who only "pretends" to be good academically. They will let anyone in this place, as long as you can pay. It's pretty bad when college seems to much like high school with people who think they are better than everyone else. Isn't this supposed to be a Catholic school? Ha! Another thing, students are not safe here! There have been close to 10 happenings where a student has been assaulted on campus, and i have only been here for a semester. Basically, don't go here, Mercyhurst (one of Gannon's rivals) is a much better option for a school in Erie PA.

I really enjoy the classes. I am currently undeclared and the program helps you figure out some subjects you may be interested in. The classes seem to be easy. Other than the classes the school is really boring. There is an occasional party on the weekends, but thats it. There is absolutely nothing to do in the "city". by the way, erie is far from a city.I also found many students are from close by. I feel out of the loop being here because im not from PA, NY, or OH. I wouldnt recommend this school if your looking for the typical college life..you wont get it here.
