This place was terrible. If you're from a rich high class family and have 0 life experience prior to college, and have had 0 adversity then you are going to fit right in. I am from a middle class single parent family, but had the test scores and grades to get in, now I'm trying to pay off debts but that's not the point here. Unlike me 95% of kids here are snobby, stuck up, and were very sheltered as kids, and the athletes all think they belong in NIKE commercials b/c they play a division 3 sport. I did fine academically but the people here overall just suck. The professors are nothing special and most of the people (faculty included) think the world revolves around grades and test score aka all book smarts. If you're a brat and grew up with everything handed to you then you will fit right in!! Best wishes to all.

Being a physics major at haverford, I think i am getting the best education. I am in waves and optics class (200 level physics); the level of mathematics we use in this course is comparable to graduate level (or adv undgraduate level. for example we are using hilbert space to analyse complicated coupled oscillation (then use fourier transform to analyse complicated wave packets). this mathematical tools that we are being introduced is so strong that i have even managed to read some string theory.(and its just my first year at haverford.

Haverford is a wonderful school where I had to work very hard and learn a great deal to make it through. I am eternally grateful to my professors who were always available and approachable. I am so lucky that I got to go to such a wonderfully welcoming school.
