I've only been here at LHU for a month, and I have already filled out applications to transfer. I really didn't think I'd be in love with college, but I genuinely hate going here. The classes are ridiculously boring, considering all my teachers just reiterate what is in the book we're using. The work is so easy that I thought my high school work was more challenging. Most of the professors say they can help you, but they generally have no idea about what they're talking about. Going to LHU is probably one of the worst decisions a person could make, so just avoid this college and go to a college that has a relatively smart student body. There is also NOTHING to do in Lock Haven itself, unless you want to get wasted every night and go to walmart, it's really pointless to come here. Getting a degree here won't help you get a job, it's just a waste of time and money.

Signed up for one of their online courses. After starting the course I found out I had to travel the whole way to Lock Haven for tests. So I called and dropped the course after a few days because I knew I could not get off work for all the required tests.Several weeks later I get a bill for the full amount of the course and a threat to turn into collection if I did not pay. I could see paying for a part of the course...but the entire course? So beware of "distance" education from some of these universities....especially LHU.

Lock Haven is a great school for the highly motivated students who wish to succeed in life. Take advantage of all of the resources and activities available to you. I would like to see the school offer Black Greek Letter Organizations like Kappa Alpha Psi, this will help in retaining young African American Men, and better prepare them for the corporate world.
