 | Quite Bright | | Even though this is a small school, each department is very different so I can only comment about Art Education and the Fine Arts (3D) departments. Some of the professors in Art Ed were helpful, others not so much. What makes the Art Education department shine (if you get a BFA, full-time) is the expectations placed upon the students. The department will weed out people that do not genuinely want to teach and this probably accounts for a fair amount of the drop out rate of the school. When I started as a teacher in Philly after graduation, I was very surprised that Moore truly is well respected within the city. In 3D Fine Art, again the competitiveness and the workaholic tendencies are the best thing about the program. Many students in this major felt as though the school neglects the 3D facilities and health and safety. Other majors require more current technology and it seems like Fine Art is last in getting improved facilities and that can be hazardous in a sculpture studio. Overall, the Art Education majors felt a bit less respected by the Fine Art faculty. Sometimes it was fair because when students sign up for a major that requires students to overload on classes they need to be prepared to work harder. The Art Education program requires students to take classes in many different media, which is essential for teaching and I feel that I was well-prepared by Moore because of this. | Starting Job: Head of Primary, Preparedness: B, Reputation: B | | |

| | | completely awful school. I transferred out of Moore after my first year. the school is EXTREMELY small with very little to do. the people who attend the school are cliquy and self-absorbed and the one friend I was able to make transferred out of Moore after the first semester because it is that bad of a school. save your money for a better school because Moore is not worth the $50,000 a year!! the schools Fashion Department has mediocre equipment and half of the sewing machines are broken and are only home sewing machines anyway. the school is a joke, don't waist your time and money by going to this school!!! | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | | |

| | Bright | So, the school is basically plopped right in the middle of the city. Which to me is wonderful. There are so many places to go within walking distance of the school. There's a lot of oppurtunity, because of the settings. The only thing I don't like is if you live in the dorms then you'll hear sirens almost every single night. The school is small...which I like it makes things seem very homey, and you become close with girls attending very quickly. And if not then you have 4 yrs to get to know them. I think you should only attend if your okay with being around girls 24/7. After a while you don't even notice. I personally like it no distractions. The ONLY bad thing I will say is the school is way to pricey compared to other schools. Their equipment is good, but not enough for $50,000 a year. I only pay $12,000 a year, but its still pricey. Financial Aide helps...my only advice is try to get outside scholarships. Whatever you decide to do. And come visit. | Perceived Campus Safety: A+, Collaboration/Competitive: C | | | |
