I spent one year at Muhlenberg way back in '87. I transferred because no matter how hard I worked, the teachers bombed us w/ horrible grades (I had a 2.7 GPA and that put me in the top 20% of the class!). Most teachers didn't really seem to care at all, except for Prof Rosenwasser (English), who was excellent. Coursework was very challenging. I usually spent 5-6 per night studying. Overall, most of the students were nice and approachable and friendly. I had fun hanging at the frats & room parties. Vivid memories of those few months. Allentown was interesting to explore on foot, wch I did a few times. Sports were fun (I was on the tennis team but got summarily cut from the soccer team at tryouts -- I was deemed "too small" [ridiculous considering I'd played since age 6]). Whatever. Had lots of fun, met some good peeople, but academically it was murder. Good luck!

Muhlenberg is a phenomenal college. Students are approachable and making friends is a breeze. They offer a wide variety of very good programs. Professors encourage you to think rather than to to simply spew out information.

No one is happy here. Most of the students I talk to wish they did not go to Muhlenberg. This small school is the same thing as a boarding school. Being away from home does not make it a college. Colleges are supposed to allow their students to grow and Muhlenberg does not allow this to happen.
