This review is long so bare with me as I try to convey to you what I have learned about this school while I was here for their IT security program. I am writing this review specifically for people looking into the Computer Science majors at this school. Do not come here for a serious education, you will not get what you are expecting. If you’re the type of person who is just looking for an easy degree, then this is the place for you. Simply put in your time here and you will easily get a diploma; however, you won’t learn anything while you’re here. God help you if you’re required to demonstrate to a potential employer what you know, or should know. The teachers here are awful; like the blind leading the blind. Many appear to know absolutely nothing about IT, and the ones that do have no idea how to teach it. This alone should be enough to keep anyone away but there is more. I am not even going to get into the horrible gender ratio and nightlife here because most of the other posts covered this well enough. I’ll just say that when you have a 66% male population the girls can afford to be as stuck up as they please, no matter what they look like. I also want to assure you that I am not some person with an academic grudge against the college, as I have a 3.6 GPA. If you are wondering why I stayed so long, it’s because I was deceived by the fact that the school has the Penn State name on it. I came here with no knowledge of the situation, so I stayed semester after semester by talking myself into the idea that it would get better as I got into more core classes in later semesters. By the time I realized how bad the situation really was I had too much money invested to simply leave. I am now in my eighth and last semester and it is not any different from my first. My advice would be to attend University Park instead; I wish I had as I was accepted there anyway. I need a time machine.

I spent one semester at PCT and it was the worse experience of my life. The school that promised me campus housing screwed me over last minute and I was forced to find an off campus apartment. The school is a huge sausage fest that is 70% male. The girls are stuck up and I don't blame them because the majority of the males acted like a bunch of prisoners who haven't seen a woman in years. Williamsport is a depressing, dead city with nothing to do. The campus police are assholes and as a result there are no parties anywhere. The student body is mostly made up of rednecks with raised trucks with confederate flags on them. On weekends the majority of students go home or go hunting. The classes were boring and didn't do anything for me and the school food sucked. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone unless all they care about is getting training in a certain field and have no desire to meet anyone.

Go elsewhere. The professors are generally not knowledgeable about anything unrelated, and in some cases related, to what they teach. Busy work, especially essays, are assigned at random and are typically response papers to books no one in class read. There are a few decent professors but the most aren't qualified to teach special ed. The women, if you can even find them, typically look like linebackers. Always check for Adam's apples. And if you decide to go out after dark, not that there is any place to go, make sure to travel in groups because of all the crime in the areas surrounding the school. If you think pimping out your Ford truck is a "bitchin" idea, you'd probably fit in at this school.
