 | Quite Bright | I came from living in Pittsburgh my entire life, to college at UPB. To say the least, it is quite a different culture; however, this school is what you make of it. You have to opportunity to foster some great relationships with friends and with the faculty. The class sizes are smaller, especially if you continue your education in the BSN (Bachelor's of Science in Nursing) program. One class, we had to present our projects and we suggested to the professor that we should go to a restaurant and do it! (There used to be a great authentic mexican restaurant that we went to when I was there). Since our class had less than 10 students, she was a-okay with that idea. It was nice to be able to make those kind of suggestions and do it! Plus it takes the pressure off of giving a presentation in a stuffy classroom. You will not get this type of experience at a "big" college. I remain close with many of my UPB pals and I wouldn't trade my college experience for anything. I partied hard and I studied hard. I learned a lot about small town life and even stayed one extra year for a job in the ER. Even though I am a city dweller today (not in Pgh), the rural life and understanding of some of its aspects and mentalities has proved useful in my line of work. | Starting Job: RN in various ERs across the country, from small rural ones to large urban trauma centers, Preparedness: B, Reputation: D+ | | |

| | | UPB ruined my life. I am currently embroiled in a court battle with them just so they will take responsibility for an honest mistake by one of their professors. Instead of being responsible adults the officials at UPB have stone walled, mislead, and down right lied to keep me swept under the rug. Even if you prevent a catastrophe from taking place in your life there is still little to no job placement, inexperienced/foreign professors or people who are townies that have jobs simply because of connections and bradford is in the middle of nowhere. I was lucky enough to attend a good HS in Pittsburgh and I frequently would be participating in activities that I had already done in HS there at UPB. Thus, the "college experience" is quite lacking. Save your family and self the trouble of a bad four year experience and look elsewhere. | Preparedness: -, Reputation: - | | | |

| | Quite Bright | There is nothing to do at bradford, all of the upper classmen hate it here. The only thing the kids do is sit on their weird "stoops" and wait for people to walk by to talk to them, until the campus police put everyone back into their beds. The school trys so hard to plan activities for the students which are all first grade coloring, awful things to do. The teachers expect that all of there students are from poorly educated schools, and encourage them to pass the class doing whatever they can, even if it means not learning, although most of the staff is very friendly. DO NOT COME HERE if you want a college experience that involves drinking or meeting normal people(not hicks from abandon oil towns). Anyone who likes this school probably never had friends so this is a step up. Do not waste your money. | University Resource Use: A+, Education Quality: F | | | |
