This place is what you make of it. It's been my experience that Penn is much better suited to graduate students than to undergraduates. With 12 graduate schools, there are more graduate students here than undergrads which is great if you are a grad student as there is a lot of opportunity to get involved.

I have been disappointed in every way with the department and the university. I would strongly advise a prospective student to look elsewhere.

Engineering Department

Penn offers a lot of opportunity. This place will not hold your hand but if you know how to stand on your own two feet, it will work wonders for you. Faculty are great and the people, u-grads and grads alike, are for the most part wonderful. I highly suggest this school.
