Super Brilliant
As a Wilkes student, I am advising you not to come here. I graduated with a 3.96 and an SAT score of 2110. I could've went to any school in the world, but sadly I chose Wilkes. The curriculum is dull and you do not learn what you need for a career. I am going to princeton starting this fall :]
Goodbye Wilkes.

Quite Bright
I left Wilkes in my sophomore year in 1997 and came back in 2003 to finish- Wilkes has improved and continues to impress me. The Communications Stuidies department is wonderful- we have some alumni in hot positions!! I think it's great- and I'm sticking around for a Master's program!

Super Brilliant
Wilkes gives a student an outstanding liberal education and enough emphasis on the student's major to go to graduate, medical, dental or optometry school. I find I am more well rounded in terms of literature, philosophy, language arts skills than many of my colleagues who went to different schools.

Bright
In terms of academics, Wilkes has one of the best programs in the country for nursing and also has good engineering and pharmacy programs. From what I've seen and experienced, most of the other major programs are haphazardly thrown together and are not very successful. For example, instead of learning things you would use later in life, you are overwhelmed with pointless and nontopical busywork that in many cases has nothing to do with what you should be learning in that particular class. Of course, there are exceptions, some of the teachers are great and their classes are informative and useful. College life (for me at least) almost makes up for the poor educational quality but I am very concerned about my career choices as I am not learning what I need to learn. For the price of tuition, the college could do a MUCH better job.
