I transfered out after ONE SEMESTER of this school. It was so hard to be involved in extracurriculer activities AND the theatre major. The theatre majors had more drama backstage than on. I hadn't experienced people that petty since middle school. Unfortunately, the staff was the same with the exception of a few visiting professors. The program looked good on paper but def didn't live up to what they said it would be. You have to have a backwoods attitude to get by at this school. I'm not one to just leave bad comments, but the only thing I liked about this school was the Student Government. Def one of the best in the state, if not country. Otherwise, wish I never went.

I am presently an undergrad biology student at Wilkes. Went here for pharmacy, now that I am no longer pursuing that field I see how much of a mistake it was coming here, other than the few people I actually wanted to become friends with that I met at school. First off, there financial aid office is terrible and extremely slow paced for the small size of campus. My plus loans didn't go through until 2 months into school when they were approved before the start of the year. The office later admitted it was their own error for this. They also do not respond to support questions and use the terrible Clean Access Agent. I was told by graduates of this school to not come here, did anyway and other then finding a couple good friends I completely regret it. As for the teachers, they are very knowledgeable, extremely smart people. This does not always reflect in class though. There are many times I question why I am being taught something. There are also many professors who will not give you the time of day outside of class, not even saying hello as they pass by. This is not all professors, but there are definitely plenty of them. Campus safety seems like it is purely out there to annoy you and try to screw you over. They try to make it a dry campus, and I in no way feel safe. I have many better options then calling for their help. Now for life outside Wilkes, there is really almost nothing. There are a couple bars to go out to, nothing impressive though, especially for having this many colleges in the immediate area. There are house parties, though I quickly lost taste for these. Also, since as stated before, they are trying to make it like a dry campus, you are unable to sit in your room with friends and hang out with a couple beers. I am just happy I am close enough to home that I can escape there just about every weekend.
